Social Tables
For any of us who has had to put a seating chart together we know it can be a harrowing and stressful experience. In comes Social Tables, a website that organizes your seating chart and doubles as a social networking platform. How cool is that! Once the seating is completed, your guest are given access to their assigned table and they can begin to chat with each other even before your event. It’s a great event ice breaker and takes the stress out of who you’ll be sitting next to at your next event. The seating charts are super easy to work with using your contacts from Gmail and Facebook. An added bonus, it integrates well with TheKnot’s tools as well. Social Tables is the brain child of buddies and innovators Matt Tendler and Dan Berger. Kudos to both of you for bringing us that much closer to event planning sanity!
Baby Lifestyles Feature and more
Petite-Fete has been featured in the second issue of Baby Lifestyles! Please check out our 4 page spread on pages 90-93 edited by Lauren Halperin, the editor of Baby Lifestyles! Thank you so much to Melissa Lynn of BeImaged who captured the day with her beautiful photography. So overjoyed to be featured alongside so many other creative designers. I have included the full magazine here so that you can see all the fabulous baby candy. I especially love the nursery spread “Ruby and Scarlet Nursery Twins” also by lauren - such brave use of color! For those of us who are too lazy I am including the break out pages of our spread.
Baby Lifestyles Premier E-Mag
Baby Lifestyles has been around for a while providing tons and tons of ideas for your next baby shower and nursery. We are especially excited because our Baby Shower “Cirque du Bebe” is in this months sneak peek and we will be featured in the next issue! Can’t wait!
Cirque Du Bebe Baby Shower
Here is a preview of a baby shower that was recently styled by Petite-Fete. Special thanks to: Suzanne who among so many other things helped create, draw and hand paint the fab photo booth back drop, Susie for brainstorming ideas, day of coordination, Soleil, our day of clown, who even taught herself to juggle for the event, Farah for helping me comb the fabric and flower district for just the right trimmings. More photos of our day of fun and of course the photo booth photographed and blogged about H-E-R-E. Our photographer for the day was the über talented Melissa Lynn of Be Imaged Photography. Melissa is such a pleasure to work with and she totally captured the essence of the day. Thanks to Sean and Rose for blessing our family with such a great joy.

Sometimes you see a creative that just takes your breath away. I think this tablescape speaks for itself - the designer of this exquisite feast to the eyes is Nathalie Cadet-James of Luxe Fete. The Miami based event planning company also has a blog where you can preview many of her other lovely designs.
A Family Affair …
Happy New Year!!!! I am so excited to be bringing to you the first new post for 2011 on our new blog platform! It was a great design collaboration between me and Duane Anderson, my totally awesome web designer. This past weekend I celebrated my birthday in the best way possible with my family and a few close close friends. We rented out a cozy space and danced the night away to the beats of DJ Action Jackson ( a surprise to me by my ever thoughtful hubbie!) Dinner was of course to die for as we dined on fried chicken made by the birthday girl, mac and cheese by my sister Rose, sweet potato souffle by my lovely Mom, stewed lobster, shrimp, and conch by Mama Kitchen, yummy mojitos by my sister Lavinia, spicy crab dip by Uncle Phil – I could go on but those were definitely some of the highlights.

To make the evening that more special I had a cake created by a F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S CAKE DESIGNER in MIAMI … Sugar Fancies! I told the owner Sandy that I wanted a cake that reflected a vintage style – old world glamour in creams, peaches, and pinks. We talked and collaborated by email and phone. We came up with a concept and she and her team drew out a sketch of how she envisioned the cake. We decided on a Christian Louboutin Shoe and shoe box along with a Chanel Purse. They were beyond gorgeous – I was totally floored when the cake arrived. The attention to detail was just remarkable. Also, I want to add that Sandy is a dream of vendor to work with!
I especially loved the two cupcake bouquets that were just too cute for words. These would also make a lovely hostess gift – I know I would love to receive them!
Check all the cute details – the UPC label on the shoe box! Love it!
